Reasons Why Your Social Media Marketing Strategies Are Not Working

People have proposed everything from focusing solely on Facebook Groups to completely exiting Facebook due to the greater limitation of organic traffic for brands. We all need to stay calm and think clearly about what we want to achieve out of social media marketing, in my opinion.

Here are a few of the most common reasons why your social media marketing efforts aren’t yielding the results you expected.

1: You are not giving time some time:

You have to keep your expectations at bay. It’s going to take some time to become a “successful social media marketer.”  It’s normal to feel like giving up but don’t give up.  It will be worth it if you wait and try your best. There are so many social media marketing companies in India that can handle your social media. You must contact them.

2: You are taking this as a burden and not enjoying it:

The next thing is all about how much you love your audiences. You have to think of all the audiences you have; they might be teens or adults. You have to update your content regularly by keeping them in mind, and you can’t be lazy in this. You have to keep updating every day, even if you are tired or anything.

You must love this job and your audience if you want great results.

It’s good to take a rest sometimes, but you can’t get used to it. And make sure to engage yourself in the hype at that point and start updating your products in the same way. 

 3: You are not advertising your products properly:

You have to invest in the advertising of your product to gain more and more public attention. If you are new to all this, you HAVE to invest in ads; otherwise, you will never be able to make your brand a “Big-Brand.”

And what is meant by advertising properly is something you always have to remember. You should always invest in a place where you can attract the most attention of people, like Google ads or YouTube ads. These sites have a lot of fan bases to attract people’s attention more.

 4: You are not going with the flow: 

I know the heading is a bit confusing, but let me explain. You have to constantly interact with your people to understand what they all want. For this, you can let them choose what your following product should be related to or the theme. You always have to listen to them and do your best to give them whatever they want.

If you don’t interact with them or give them what they want, you will never go anywhere. Let me give you an example; for example, you are selling a shampoo; you have to make sure that you connect with people and ask them what concerns do they have; you can’t give a person who needs smoothing shampoo when what they need is something that can help their dandruff.

This was just a simple example, but now I believe you would have understood the necessity of interacting with your audience. If you don’t do it better, do not expect anything.

 5: You are not consistent with your work:

 If you update your products every week, you have to ensure that you will do it every time. It can’t be like; you will update them every week for one month, and that’s it. No! It is not how you are going to be successful. You have to be consistent with the amount of time you post/the amount of time you spend with your audience. Once a month, you should send them a few surveys, with the help of which you can show them that you are serious about your work. You can’t take this for granted, and you can’t make them wait.

 Even if no one is buying your product, you have to be consistent because it will pay off one day. Just make sure to be consistent in whatever you are doing and not take it for granted; otherwise, you are flying blind. 

 6: You are not making your product a NEED for them:

You know, when there were no beauty products available? People were still living their life and were alive. But now, if you ask any girl about their necessity, they will mention beauty products/skincare products. Why?

Because the marketing companies made it necessary, you have to do the same.

You have to come up with the idea of products that a specific set of people and the actual audience needs.

You have to make that valuable product for them, and you can start by targeting a particular set of people, for example, men; you can come up with an electric trimmer for them, and when you will start to advertise it, they will be developing the feeling of need for it. You can continue this by targeting different people. I know it is a very long process, but as I say, it is going to pay off one day. 

7: You are forcing them to buy your product:

Look, you will get nothing by using force as a means to sell your product. You have to be patient and have a lot of patience, don’t bug them consistently to buy your product; trust me, it will not end well.

You have to convince them “indirectly” to buy your product. I know you are confused, so let me explain;

By saying “Indirectly,” I mean through ads, blogs, templates, and so on. But don’t force them to buy anything from you; treat them like how you treat your own family. That way, there will be more chances of you being loved by them, and when they start loving you, they will buy from you with their own will and even suggest you to their family, friends, relatives, etc. And your business is not going to run but fly. But if you ever force them, you will be going nowhere. 

8: You are lacking in making a beautiful presentation of your site: 

Who doesn’t love beautiful sites? Many websites will help you design your account attractively and aesthetically; use those sites.

Look, site presentation is the first thing a buyer will notice; it is a crucial step, so don’t take it for granted. If you lack this, your audience may not love your content either. It will not take you much time, so go and do it; it’s going to add a beautiful face to your product site. It will attract people to come and see your site, and when they arrive there, what will they find? Your unique products and you know what they will do afterward? Buy them. And that’s precisely what you want. So that’s why a beautiful presentation is so important. It is the first step that will add a boost to your success journey. But remember not to make it too feminine or masculine; it will not look cute. Make it moderate and classy.

Don’t make your website lack this, or you might be late for your success.

 9: Don’t exaggerate:

The one thing that I have learned from my experiences is that exaggerating is never going to get you anything except chaos.

Never exaggerate your products. Be basic and don’t compare your products with other successful brands, don’t make promises that you can’t keep because if you did make those kinds of promises and can’t keep them, they are never going to trust you again, and you are going to lose an audience. Exaggerating products can even make you broke/unsuccessful overnight. Always try to be authentic about what your product is or what it does. If your product has any problem, don’t lie about it and tell your audience honestly that you will not be able to sell that this week because the product has defects and promise them that you will never sell them any defective thing because they are like your own family, and make sure to keep that promise and not break it. They are not going to kill you; in fact, they are going to love and respect you even more because of your honesty, trust me. 

 10: You are going out of your way to sell products: 

We talked about being consistent before, but for that, you have to remember one thing. You have to make sure that whatever you are doing is really what you want to do, and make sure you are not forcing yourself into it. Look, to be consistent, it is necessary that you love what you are doing. For example, if you are selling watches, you have to be sure that you want to do this and that you are sure that you can be consistent with it,

If you don’t love it and you are forcing yourself just because you want money or some other reason, being consistent will be hard for you, it might irritate you. If you don’t want to do it, you can leave whenever you want, but if you want it, be consistent and don’t give up. Don’t go out of your way to sell your products, always be yourself and enjoy it. Don’t force it, if you are forcing it, you will leave it one day because you can never be consistent with a thing you don’t love. And to be successful, being consistent is the priority.

11: You are not thinking about collaborating with brands: 

This may sound a bit not important, but trust me, it is also a good way to increase your base. If you are just starting your business, then it’s not for you, but if you are a bit old in this industry, you should think about collaborating with different brands because it will help you in increasing your audience. Think about it, when you are collaborating with a brand, the brand is going to post it on their account or site; their followers/audiences are going to see that post, and they might check your account too. This way you have a chance of getting more and more audiences.

 So, you should give thought to this. I don’t personally think it’s that helpful, but it might help you, and it won’t hurt you to give it a shot.

After all the things I just told you, now, I want to tell you that I know it’s going to be very difficult but don’t give up, be consistent, know what you want; you can also use newspapers, magazines, and stuff to promote your products. You can pay influencers to review your products; you can do many more things to promote them and increase your audience, so do whatever you think can help you grow your business and never lie to your audience, don’t break their trust.

The cost of social media marketing is also a thing you should think about. You can’t dive into a river without knowing how to swim, exactly like that; you can’t come into any industry without thinking about the expenses. As we talked about before, to increase your business, you have to have money to spend on making ads, templates, opening a store, buying stuff for your store, a place where you can keep your stock, and so on. So, if you are thinking about it, make sure to have a budget from the start or you might not succeed.

 I am not trying to discourage you, but this is the truth, you can’t open a shop without money. You can earn money by any means, and when you think you now have a budget and you can now open a store, then you should walk into this industry.

There are so many social media marketing companies in India, and you can open a company too but for that, you have to do a lot of hard work; you have to be serious, be sure about it, and never give up, just trust the process and see what happens.
