Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and the truth is that it has many things to offer. Currently the city’s economy depends on oil as they generate 1.5 million barrels a day.

In this post I tell things to see and do in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Zayed Mosque

Without a doubt, the part that I liked the most in the city was the visit to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. The mosque is dedicated to the country’s first president Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahayan.

It is the largest mosque in the country and one of its peculiarities is that it holds the record for having the largest carpet in the world since it is 5,627m2 and has more than 2.5 billion knots.

Admission is free and they also offer free clothing for women to cover up. One of the things that it also offers for free is an audio guide available in Spanish. We enjoy it day and night and the truth is that it is impressive to see it illuminated.

Etihad Towels

One of the things that I liked the most about Abu Dhabi was seeing the majestic buildings such as the Etihad Towels. They are a set of 5 buildings and the truth is that they are beautiful.

Corniche

One of the things that I liked the most about this city is the Corniche Avenue. It is very pleasant to walk along it and enjoy a swim at the Corniche Beach, one of the best valued in the country.

Visit the Emirates Palace

This palace is a hotel and the emir of Abu Dhabi lives there. The price of the rooms is around €400. The palace is very, very beautiful. This hotel was built by the government itself. There are rooms with gold decorations.

Visit the Abu Dhabi Marina Mall

It is one of the most important shopping centers in Abu Dhabi and inside you can find everything.

Visit Ferrari World

Visiting Ferrari World is not cheap at all since the cheapest ticket costs around €70. One of the reasons I wanted to visit it was to be able to get on the Formula Rossa, the fastest attraction in the world where 240 km/h is reached in just 4.5 seconds. One of the things that most abound in the amusement park are simulators.

Visit the Yas F1 marina

One of the things that I wanted to see the most was the F1 circuit, since I am a great fan of this sport. We were able to walk around the interior of the route since it is open to the public from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Visit the Yas Viceroy

One of the most famous and spectacular hotels in the city is the Yas Viceroy, it is located within the Yas Marina F1 circuit.
